FAQ

How much does shipping cost if I'm not subscribed or my order is under $35?

Standard shipping is a flat $5.

When will my order ship?

  • Monday through Friday: Orders placed before 10 am PST will be roasted and shipped that same day. Orders placed after 10 am PST will be roasted and shipped on the following business day.
  • Saturday & Sunday: Orders placed during these days will be roasted and shipped on the following Monday.

How long does this coffee stay fresh?

We roast to order. Once your bag arrives, store it in a cool, dry place, sealed in its original bag or an airtight container. Coffee peaks in the first 2–3 weeks after roasting—that's when acidity is clearest and flavors are brightest. The roast date is printed on your bag, so you know exactly what you're working with.

Should I buy whole bean or pre-ground?

Whole bean stays fresher longer and gives you control over grind size for your brew method. If you don't have a grinder yet, we can grind your order to specification at checkout. Grind fresh, brew fresh—but if pre-ground fits your routine, that matters more than dogma.

Can I subscribe to this coffee?

Absolutely! This coffee is available as a subscription or a one-time purchase.

What grind option should I choose?

It depends on your brew method. French press wants coarse. Espresso wants fine. Pour-over and drip sit in the middle. The bag notes the brew method we used—check there first. If you're experimenting with a new method, start with the grind size the method's instructions call for, then adjust based on taste (finer if it tastes weak, coarser if it tastes bitter).

What do tasting notes mean?

We taste every roast and list the actual sensations—acidity, body, flavor notes. If we write "stone fruit + dark chocolate," that's what should be in your cup if you brew it right. Tasting notes aren't poetic license; they're functional. They help you match the coffee to your mood and method. Don't overthink them. If a coffee says "bright citrus" and you want "balanced and full," pick a different one.

What if something's wrong with my order?

We stand behind our coffee. If something's wrong—stale, damaged, or not what you ordered—contact us within 30 days and include your order number. We'll reship or refund. Shipping happens fast; we take responsibility for what reaches you intact.
